The Four Levers

  1. Size — Larger elements dominate
  2. Contrast — High contrast draws the eye
  3. Spacing — Isolated elements feel important
  4. Position — Top-left and center get seen first (in LTR layouts)

F-Pattern and Z-Pattern

Users scan in predictable patterns. Place key content along these paths: headlines top-left, CTAs along the scanning line, supporting info in secondary zones.

One Primary Action Per View

Every screen should have a single obvious next step. Secondary actions use outline buttons or text links.
